Juliet's Death

I believe that her father Lord Capulet played a large role leading to Juliet's eventual suicide. If he hadn't given Juliet away to Paris then maybe he could've approved of Romeo eventually with enough persistent effort by Romeo and Juliet, but instead he did give Juliet away resulting in her heart being crushed and a bond broken between the two that could never be rebuilt. In a way to avoid her fathers arranged marriage Juliet devises a plan which eventually back fries,, with her ending her own life beside Romeo in their family crypt.

Love and Marriage

Love and marriage should be a free choice for the people in love. But instead in the story of Romeo and Juliet they are forced to love others because of their families. For example: Lord Capulet promises Paris Juliet's hand in marriage. I share the same perspective as Juliet believing that one should have the choice to choose who to love and what one wants to do with their lives.

Star Crossed Lovers

Fate plays a huge role in media today because in the end, it is the deciding factor on what happens or what is meant to happen. I think that star crossed lovers themselves need to find out if their love is really worth the risk of all the people against it, many shows and comics today still use the "Star Crossed Lovers" today, such as Spider man or Superman. Both cannot be with their lovers because it would risk the danger of them getting held hostage

Knock Knock.

A spoken word poet by Daniel Beaty. The poem itself hits you like a brick wall, it brings up memories that want to be forgotten or opens your eyes to the tragedies of people's childhoods. But the main reason to me is strength and inspiration. Strength to handle life's horrible changes, inspiration to move past them, strength to grow up without a father, inspiration to become one, having the strength to become an inspiration, and inspiration to find strength.

The video relates to The Help by saying that people don't need to relive their parent mistakes or theirs before them. You have the choice to take action and fight back, to live. And that's what the maid in The Help did. They rose up and took action against racism by releasing their stories of racism to open eyes across the nation.
